Version 1.4.3.2 Patch
Download the v1.4.3.2 patch by clicking here.
To install this patch you must have version 1.1
or later of London Control. This patch will not update any earlier
version. To check which version you have, open the Help | About
window when you are running London Control (press <Alt> <H>
<A>).
The patch will download as a zip file containing
the patch setup program.
Save the zip file to your disk, open it and then
either run Patch1432.exe from there, or save it to the Temp directory
and run it from there.
This patch includes the following new features (since
v1.4):
- If only one user name has been defined, this
will be selected by default in the Log-on Window when the program
is started.
- The keyboard shortcut to open the Sector Conflict
Tool has been changed to Alt D N, to stop it conflicting with
the Offered Bay (Alt D O).
- A Knots/Mach button has been added to the Speed
Menu, and to the Combined Clearance Menu (in the latter it appears
in the place of the ILS button, if that button is not present).
This allows the alternative type of speed clearance to be input
(eg Knots when the system defaults to Mach).
- Display performance has been improved, particularly
the handling of large amounts of map data which sometimes caused
a slow redraw of the screen background. This should also alleviate
the performance problems some users experienced when running Germany
Radar.
This patch also corrects the following faults in
v1.4.2:
- Handling of stacks has been corrected so that
aircraft will only descend to the minimum level appropriate to
the stack.
- A command line option -v has been included to
inhibit the use of speech recognition entirely. This enables,
for example, users of Windows Vista with no microphone connected
to run London Control without receiving an OLE error.
- Aircraft no longer orbit when they reach the
last fix on their route.
- Vertical sizing of the multi-bay tactical list
has been improved.
- A command line option -i has been included to
force the software to use the 'old' style of display redraw. This
will improve performance for those few customers who have experienced
problems with the new redraw method.
- The NFL into an approach sector for an aircraft
in the hold (or approaching the hold) is now kept in step with
its CFL. This means the hold list will show the correct level
when aircraft not yet under the control of the approach sector
descend in the hold.
This patch also fixes the problem in version 1.4.3
that prevented Germany Radar from running correctly.
This patch also updates the User Guide pdf file
with the latest version (this can be found in the Help folder of
your London Control installation). Note, however, that the run-time
help information has not been changed.
Information about what other faults have been fixed
in this patch can be found on the Software
Fault Reports page.
